Dr. Ryan Lee

Ryan Lee was born and raised in Aiea, Hawaii, and attended medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Residency at the Kennedy Krieger Institute & Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Lee has interest in a broad range of Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, with special interest in ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Ketogenic Therapies.

Dr. Irisa Devine

Irisa Devine was born and raised in Wisconsin, attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and completed her Child Neurology Residency and additional Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology: EMG and Neuromuscular Disorders at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida

Dr. Devine made Hawaii her home in 2015, and specializes in providing individualized care for all children with neurological disorders, with a particular focus on children with neuromuscular conditions. Dr. Devine is the only pediatric physician in Hawaii with specialty training in neuromuscular disorders and Electromyography (EMG).

Allison Przekop

Dr. Allison Przekop

Pediatric Neurologist, DO

Dr. Allison Przekop was born and raised in northern California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Davis and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. She completed post-graduate training in internal medicine, pediatrics, adult and pediatric neurology and adult and pediatric movement disorders. She is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.

Prior to moving to Hawaii in 2017, she was an attending physician at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, California. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading and walking her dogs. Her professional interests include cerebral palsy, movement disorders including tics and restless legs syndrome, deep brain stimulation therapy and botulinum toxin therapy.

Ashley Levan

Dr. Ashley Levan

Director of Trans-Disciplinary Treatment

Dr. Levan was born and raised in Illinois. She attained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Brigham Young University in Utah and completed her fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In 2018, she made Hawaii her home. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Levan has been involved in research examining executive functioning, academic, and social outcomes in children with epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, and concussion.

Dr. Levan specializes in providing neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents with medical, neurological, and neurodevelopmental disorders. These evaluations can use used to help diagnose or rule out different conditions, as well as to describe the impact of a condition on an individual’s functioning in a variety of environments (e.g., school, home, social).

Rachel Weber


Rachel Weber hails from Ohio and earned her B.S. in Nursing from Marshall University in West Virginia. She later achieved her M.S. in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She has practiced as a nurse in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient care. Rachel's professional interests include empowering children to develop into their best potential and are happy and healthy along the way.
She spends her free time exploring island life with her husband and young daughter.

Miki Wong

Miki Wong, RDRegistered Dietitian

Director of Research and Community Outreach

Miki received her BS in Food Science Human Nutrition from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, completed her dietetic internship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Miki has worked at Tripler Army Medical Center, Tufts Medical Center, and Shriners Hospitals for Children, where she helped launch the Ketogenic Therapies Program for epilepsy and autism.

Miki has a great interest in the role of nutrition and lifestyle to treat diverse neurodevelopmental and metabolic disorders.

Lori Asada

Occupational Therapist

Lori was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She received her BS in Human Occupation and Masters in Occupation Therapy from Pacific University in Oregon. Following graduate school, Lori worked in early intervention, early childhood special education, and pediatric private practice clinics in Oregon. She returned to Hawaii in 2016.

Lori’s professional interests include working with children with developmental and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities, to support them in participating in their daily activities, in addition to coaching and empowering families so that they have the skills and tools to assist with their child’s growth and development.

Gaye Arakaki

Gaye Arakaki, SLPSpeech Language Pathologist

Director of Rehabilitation

Gaye Arakaki is a speech language pathologist who obtained her Masters degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has practiced in the public school system, home based early intervention programs, and the hospital setting.

Gaye's professional interests include family-centered treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Joelle Rodriguez

Joelle Rodriguez

Director of Autism Behavioral Therapy

Joelle Rodriguez, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA started working with students with autism in Hawaii as an undergraduate majoring in psychology at Hawaii Pacific University. After graduating, she continued her work in California within Early Intervention. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Chaminade University. Joelle has worked within the Department of Education as special education teacher and behavioral consultant for 12 years prior to transitioning to Milestones Hawaii.

Joelle takes interest in shaping behaviors to promote independence and functional communication.

Sabrina Salazar

Sabrina Salazar

Medical Assistant

Sabrina Salazar was born in raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her NHA Certificate of Medical Assisting at Pima Medical Institute in February of 2018. She is currently back in school to obtain her B.A. in Psychology, so she is able to work with patients in need of care for mental health.

She is excited to work with each of the children and families at Milestones and establish a great working relationship with them.

Clinical Services Coordinator

Tina Humphries was born and raised on the north shore of Oahu. She attended the University of Hawaii, and acquired over 30 years of managerial experience in business and office administration. As a mother of three, she developed a compassion for meeting the needs of children with special needs by raising a child with special needs.

Tina is grateful to be a part of a team that helps families acquire the best care for their children.

Courtney Ragmat

Medical Assistant

Courtney, mother of two, received her AAMA Certificate of Medical Assistant from Kapiolani Community College in 2009. She worked at Island Urgent Care for 6 years and Shriners Hospital for Children for 3 years, prior to transitioning to Milestones.

Courtney loves working with children and is excited to assist you and your family.

Liana Szlosek

Patient Accounts Representative

Liana was born and raised in Kalihi, on Oahu. She has over 25 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, starting her career as a pharmacy technician, and later to insurance verification. She is excited to be a part of the Milestones ohana and to help families as the center's liaison with patient insurance organizations. Liana enjoys spending time with her two sons, Daryn and Jonah, and also being a mom to the family's new puppy, Brady. Liana is also a gardener and caretaker of cacti!

Phet Daravong

Phet Daravong is a former California resident recently relocated to Oahu. She has an educational background in Medical Billing and Coding and was previously a Claims Training and Development Specialist for Health Net's Mental Health Network Department.

Phet is continuing her education in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with goals to also attain a Master’s degree in Project Management. Phet loves helping others, especially in the Healthcare field. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking new recipes with her fiancé. You might also find her hiking or at the beach.

Shawn Torres Akiyama was born and raised in the historic town of Hale'iwa on the North Shore of Oahu. She is CPR certified and is a mother of 4 loving children.Shawn enjoys coordinating and assisting with charitable and social events and her children's extracurricular activities. Shawn is happy to be a part of Milestones Ohana because the work is meaningful.

Shari Tasaka

Shari is a local, "country" girl who grew up on the Windward side of O'ahu, in Kaneohe. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors and Master of Arts in writing and American Literature from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, where she also served for 14 years as an administrative faculty member with the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Shari has worked in Healthcare Administration in Hawai'i since the early 80s.

Shari is a wife of more than 30 years and a mother of two spirited daughters, from whom she draws inspiration.

Geo Tapia

Geo Tapia

Administrative Assistant

Geo is a former Manhattan, New York, resident who has relocated to Oahu to build a home and pursue his nursing degree. He studied and received his (LVN) BSN degree from University State of California (UCLA) in 2014.

He has practiced with inpatient care for four years. He is passionate and showed interested in working with the rest of the Milestones team to help bring light to children and to empower them to keep fighting for a better healthy future
